“God: there is no god but Him, the Ever Living, the Ever Watchful. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. All that is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Him. Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His leave? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, but they do not comprehend any of His knowledge except what He wills. His throne extends over the heavens and the earth; it does not weary Him to preserve them both. He is the Most High, the Tremendous.” (2:255)

This is Ayat ul Kursī; its affair is incredible and it has been confirmed as a sound hadith that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that it is the best ayah in the Book of Allah.

On the authority of Abū Huraira, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Sūrah al Baqarah contains a verse that is the master of all verses in the Qur'ān. It is not recited in a house in which there is a devil, except that he leaves it. (It is) Ayat ul Kursī”.

And in Tirmidhī, it is related with the words “Everything has a peak, and the peak of the Qur'ān is Sūrah al Baqarah, within which is a verse that is the master of all verses of the Qur'ān. (It is) Ayat ul Kursī”.
